Strategic Staffing Solutions Celebrates 18 Years of Growth
Company continues steady growth while emphasizing civic involvement

DETROIT – Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3), which has grown to become Detroit’s largest staffing and consulting company for information technology, turned 18 October 1.

S3, headquartered in Detroit’s historic Penobscot Building, operates 21 branches world-wide, including Vilnius, Lithuania and London, England.  The company has experienced 18 consecutive years of growth since its inception in 1990 and is on track this year to exceed the record revenues of $148 million that were posted in 2007.

“My vision was to grow a company based on the philosophy that a relationship built on trust is a relationship that will last, “said Cynthia J. Pasky, President and CEO of S3.  “That philosophy is the reason why we have thrived.  Even in this perilous economic climate, we are still growing.”

While maintaining a thriving business, Pasky also has become one of Detroit’s civic leaders with such activities as spearheading the 2-1-1 On the Go! homeless outreach program, a collaboration of the Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP).

“We strive not only to be leaders in our industry, but also in our communities,” said Pasky, who serves on several boards, including the Detroit Downtown Partnership, the Executive Committee of Detroit Renaissance and the United Way of Southeastern Michigan

“I have always believed companies should give back to the communities they serve,” she said.  “That is why we worked to create the 2-1-1 On the Go! program and why we have focused our own corporate charitable efforts to support it.”

In addition to spearheading the creation of the program, S3 has raised $40,064, the largest annual amount raised for charity in its history, this year to support the effort with two August events; the firm’s Annual Detroit Charity Golf Outing and the Grand Prix Shakedown 8K run held on Belle Isle on the Tuesday of Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix week.

S3 provides community support in all of the cities in which it conducts business. Among them, Charlotte where S3 supports the Arts and Science Council and in St. Louis where the company contributes to the Junior Achievement and The Boys and Girls Town of Missouri, which helps abused and neglected children.  In addition, both branches premiered their own Charity Golf Outings this year.
