Situation
MGM Grand Detroit opened its doors on October 3, 2007. At $800 million, MGM Grand Detroit was the largest construction project in the state, bringing more than 1,000 new jobs to Michigan. State legislators have a stake in seeing first-hand how the new facility is playing a role in encouraging growth to a region facing tough economic times.

Strategy
Because of our long-term relationships and extensive contacts with state lawmakers, MGM Grand Detroit contacted us to arranged private tours of the facility for lawmakers given by MGM Grand Detroit executives.

Result
The meetings have forged support for between lawmakers and MGM Grand Detroit executives who plan to work together to stimulate growth and put the southeast Michigan region on the map as a major tourist destination.
